As many of our customers will remember, we lost our dear friend and colleague Timmy Cummins in October 2023. Timmy was a remarkable person, working with Metal Technology for over 20 years. His technical knowledge of our industry, his easy-going nature and the ability to communicate at all levels were truly unique as a fabrication training manager to our customer network. He was also a key team player in our R&D department where his skills in developing new systems were invaluable. He continues to be sorely missed within the business.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In his honour and in support of Brainwaves NI, who supported Timmy and his family during his illness, we are putting in 5 relay teams totalling 24 people, including Timmys daughter Maeve, to run the Belfast City Marathon this year on Sunday 3rd May.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Brainwaves NI is Northern Ireland\u2019s only volunteer led Brain Tumour research and support charity. The startling statistics are that more children and adults under 40 die of a brain tumour than any other cancer, yet the national spend on research is less than 1%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are aiming to raise as much as possible for this worthy cause in memory of Timmy with a target of \u00a310,000 and appreciate any support our customers, suppliers, supplychain and friends can make.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
